Clattercote Social November 2021

The Clattercote event nearly didn't happen, but with help from Jack liaising with the Canal and River Trust we were on. With short notice there were only 9 of us taking part, but we still got the best side of the reservoir and most managed to turn up Thursday to kick the social off.

By the time I'd arrived early Friday morning there were some sore looking heads, but clearly eager to get to the pegs and get some Carp on the bank, even though Andy had unofficially started the catching off as he'd been there since Wednesday.

Dee and Jack paired together and did well. After talking to Dee he said "it can go quiet and I won't have a run, I'll put two spombs out and 5 minutes later the rod will scream off". caught a few too with Andy on the last peg having at least 10.

The same tactics clearly worked for Loz and Vance as they were spombing and catching plenty too. Between Dee and Jack they had over 30 fish.

Even Colin and his lad did well on the peg in-between Loz/Vance and Dee/Jack.

Marty who was on the double jetty peg also had a few, in-between socialising with Dee and Jack.

This was a social

Clattercote didn't disappoint with some good Carp caught and another great social event. Here's looking forward to the next one.
